Decatur Country Club is conveniently located in beautiful southeast Decatur, AL. Established in 1923, our member owned private golf and country club has every amenity you would expect from a full service country club, with all the benefits and convenience of an in-town location. We are a private, not-for profit organization. Membership is by invitation only from one of our current members.
Decatur Country Club is the ONLY private, member-owned country club in the immediate area. The club's long and rich history is a significant part of Decatur's tradition. Over many generations, Decatur Country Club has provided a place for families and friends to gather and celebrate the great moments in life; holidays with family, weddings, birthdays and anniversaries and many long summer days enjoying all the amenities the club has to offer.
In this economy when any type of security or stability is difficult to find and even high profile "chain" retailers are closing their doors, Decatur Country Club's longevity is an anchor in rough seas. Our club is an affordable safe haven where all members of the family can enjoy time together without the need of a "luxury" vacation .
Decatur Country Club offers a beautiful modern clubhouse with excellent dining, banquet, and meeting facilities, a 6100 yard, par 71 executive golf course with a full service pro shop, four lighted rubico tennis courts, and a large, family oriented swimming pool that was completely rebuilt in 2008.
Our 400 member club is large enough to offer all the amenities our members desire, but small enough to offer facilities that are always available and seldom crowded. Our size makes it easy for all of our members to know each other and to assimilate new members into our membership.
Our facilities are available to members and to non-members for wedding receptions, banquets, parties, and group meetings. Our ballroom can seat 250 for dinner or accomodate 350 persons for receptions and other stand-up gatherings. Our golf course is an excellent venue for golf outings and charity events.
