Decatur Country Club
Golf Rates for 2010/2011 Season
Effective October 1, 2010
Decatur Country Club has, as all are aware, experienced numerous issues related to its’ finances over the past few years. One item in particular is the current pricing structure in many areas. Costs of goods and services have realized significant increase, while the fees charged for such goods and services have not.
The Decatur Country Club will never position itself to experience high-margined business among its Membership – it is our responsibility to control costs in order to provide the best value-for-price-paid, and this will continue to be our mission. However, many fixed-cost items, beyond the control of the Club have experienced substantive increases over the past few years, and these cost increases must be covered.
The following rate changes related to our Golf Fee Structure will take effect immediately, and will remain in effect for the 2010/2011 Season:
Guest Fees 18 Holes $30.00 (not including cart) Guest Fees 09 Holes $20.00 (not including cart) Social Members 18 Holes $30.00 (not including cart) House Guest 18 Holes $20.00 (not including cart)
Golf Cart Fees 18 Holes $15.00pp* Golf Cart Fees 09 Holes $07.50pp*
*Course policy is 2 to a Cart…should there be an odd man on the Team, 9 Hole rate will apply – should you opt to ride as a single when a partner is available, full rate will apply.
We have observed a lack of adherence to Course Rules as well as general abuse of the golf course by some members (all course rules & regulations are posted on the DCC Website – we suggest that you visit this site on a regular basis for any updates and/or changes).
The “Cart Path Only” and “90 Degree Rule” are in place to preserve the asset in which we all have a vested interest. Golf Carts on the tee boxes and greens – even close to the greens is not acceptable. Greens equipment has a specific weight distribution ratio which allows it to traverse this surface without damage – Golf Carts do not.
Some individuals have made an Iron Shot from our greens surface – we ask that you PLEASE not do this. Please move your ball to a playable location beside the green and hit from there. Cigars and cigarettes being placed on the green surfaces has created quite a bit of damage. We ask that you please refrain from placing either of these items on the greens, or littering the course with them at all. Trash receptacles are placed throughout the course, as well as on the rear of each cart – please use them.
We are greatly attempting to return this Club to her former glory, and it begins with the members taking pride in our facility, and helping us keep the course and clubhouse in wonderful condition. Together, as we re-build our Membership, we will be able to take this course and transform it from a well-maintained course to well-manicured course.
