Decatur Country Club has every amenity you would expect from a full service country club, with all the benefits and convenience of an in-town location. We are a private, member owned, not-for profit organization. Membership is by invitation only from one of our current members. All new members must be reviewed and approved by the Membership Committee and the Board of Directors.
What Is A Private Club?
Our club is large enough to offer all the amenities our members desire, but small enough to offer facilities that are always available and seldom crowded. Our size makes it easy for all of our members to know each other and to assimilate new members into our membership. As a member of Decatur Country Club you and your family can enjoy the exclusive use of our private club with other members who share the same values and expectations that you do.
Decatur Country Club offers several classes of membership to those persons selected to join our club:
Equity Golf Membership - allows member and their family the use of all club facilities and amenities with voting rights and equity ownership
Non-Equity Golf Membership - Allows member and their family the use of all club facilities and amenities, but does not include voting rights or equity ownership (This membership is limited to 75 total memberships)
Junior Membership - Allows member between the ages of 21 and 32 and their family the use of all club facilities and amenities, but does not include voting rights or equity ownership
Social Membership - Allows member the use of clubhouse, dining facilities, pool, and tennis courts, but does not include golf, voting rights, or equity ownership (This membership is limited to 85 memberships)
Trial Membership - Allows prospective members to pay a deposit and join one of the above member classifications for a trial period of six months. At the end of the trial period you may pay the appropriate initiation fee and remain a member (we think you will) or you may end your trial membership with no further obligation to our club.
"Welcome Home Program" - Allows former members an opportunity to rejoin Decatur Country Club for a nominal fee and resume their full membership classification benefits. This program will expire on or before September 30, 2010.
